BadgeCraft Metalworks normally starts custom metal craft orders at 100 pieces per design. The minimum can change when a project uses a special process, unusual dimensions or complex finishing. A custom sample normally takes about 7 days after artwork confirmation. Bulk production normally takes about 15 days after sample approval, subject to quantity and process complexity.

The main factors that change badge cost

Quantity: tooling and setup costs are shared across the order, so the unit cost normally decreases as quantity rises. Ask for several quantity breaks if future repeat orders are likely.

Size and thickness: a larger or heavier badge uses more metal and can require stronger attachment. A 40 mm badge is a useful reference size. A 5 mm profile is more suitable for selected dimensional cast products; wearable badges normally use a thinner specification chosen for comfort and strength.

Material and mold: zinc alloy is a common material because it supports custom shapes, cutouts and dimensional relief. Deep relief, two-sided detail and complex open areas can increase tooling and finishing work.

Surface treatment: gold-tone plating, silver-tone plating, digital printing, raised metal and recessed metal details each require different production steps. Mixed finishes and precise color work can add inspection time.

Attachment and packing: the attachment must match the product weight and use. Packing is quoted according to the buyer's distribution and presentation requirements rather than assumed as a fixed option.
